It is in your best interest, therefore, to examine what a successful newsletter looks like.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>You may have tried to xerox popular newsletters, but to no avail. (Note: <a href=\"https:\/\/email.uplers.com\/infographics\/email-design-trends\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Newsletter design<\/a> varies from brand to brand. However, the framework is more or less consistent.)<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"Brand\">1. <strong>Brand Logo<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>The logo of your brand is the first thing that the reader will see. Clicking on each of these menus redirects the user to the corresponding page.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>That\u2019s the goal of the email navbar: To get the reader to your website.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>It\u2019s important to note that not all newsletters necessarily contain a primary navbar in the header. But for starters, it\u2019s best to stick to the established framework.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Speaking of visual headers, you may want consider these expert tips:&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>The navbar needn\u2019t be exactly the same as the one on your website. Email is space-constrained. Add only the most relevant\/popular pages.<br \/><\/li><li>You may have to scale it down further, if not remove it altogether, for mobile devices. Make sure to test it across various mobile devices.<br \/><\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>Concerning that last point, Jordie van Rijn <a href=\"https:\/\/www.getresponse.com\/blog\/often-overlooked-important-email-navigation-bar#:Rh:\">says<\/a>, \u201cThe links are like clusterbombs, with a big chance of mistakenly tapping on the wrong link with your finger.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"Hero\">3. <strong>Hero Banner<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>The hero banner is what introduces the newsletter. Most email newsletter examples would feature a hero banner. But keep in mind that the hero space can be variously designed. Sometimes it may not feature an image banner at all.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The point is that the hero space acts as an introduction. More difficult. More strenuous. Poor design adds friction to the communication process. On mobile device, it only gets worse. Unfortunately, eyes are imperfect devices. Keep the character count between 40 and 80.<br \/><\/li><li>For mobile experience, stick to narrow emails, usually 500-650 px wide. But for desktop, use wider templates that are 960-980px wide. It\u2019s template width that determines how the image displays on different viewports.<br \/><\/li><li>Determine the right alignment. Use this format if you want to keep readers informed.<br \/><\/li><li>The <strong>digest format <\/strong>allows you to offer \u201cmultiple pieces of content.\u201d Morneau recommends this for brands that put out a high volume of content. The typical newsletter digest acts as a teaser to encourage readers to click through.<br \/><\/li><li>The <strong>curated content format<\/strong> includes valuable content from other sources in your niche. This is best for when you want to reinforce brand credibility.<\/li><\/ol>\n\n\n\n<p>Here are a few tips to help you nail the <a href=\"https:\/\/email.uplers.com\/blog\/best-ecommerce-email-templates\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">newsletter body<\/a>:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>Employ storytelling techniques to keep the readers engaged.
