How to design for Retina Emails?

You can design all images as vectors that are in high res and use that as object in PSD created with canvas of 600px. So that those vector of high res can be used in HTML to give Retina effect.

Alternatively you can design the PSD in 1200px width or with resolution of 300dpi.

What do we need to submit for Video Emails?

You will need to submit the design plus live URL of Video hosted with MP4 version.

Does Video play in Video emails?

Video will play in emails for Apple Emails, iPhone (in Quick player) and Android Native Apps. However for rest of email clients it will show the fallback image with link to the video which would land user to page having video to be played there.

With integration template what do you offer?

Normally integration add on ($15) is to provide you the HTML that will be tested using the ESP you will opt. Few free to use ESP will be possible to test while proprietary ESP has to be provided with their credentials so we can test it accordingly.

For few ESP that provides template language we do provide a full editable template.

How to use the files supplied by us?

Usually we deliver the zip folder having HTML files and locally linked images folder.

You might have to uploaded the images on your server or in ESP. Major ESP provides a feasibility to upload images which can be used.

You can also view our labs section that would help you get steps of how you can use the provided files on specific ESP.

Do you upload images on your server?

Normally we don't upload images on our server. As we don't wish to put any reference links of Email Uplers in HTML we deliver. However when background images are used in order to support that in Outlook we have to use VML code that require absolute path of image and only in that case we upload image on our server.

Is the provided time-line in terms of actual hours or working hours?

Email Uplers work 24/5 and thus all hours of the day are working hours. In short, we can provide you your work within 8 actual hours. Therefore, when we say 8 hours, it means 8 hours from the time your order (along with your designs) was received or if at all there are any case of doubts than once we get clarification on the job.

What do you want me to provide?

Nothing, apart from the email/newsletter design in the format that you have. The formats that Email Uplers recommend and prefer is layered PSD. While you can also send designs in layered AI, EPS, JPEG, GIF, BMP and PDF formats. Unless they are layered it won"t be possible for us to copy content or separate background images available in design.

Thus in such cases, we develop image oriented email/newsletter, but extensive testing is conducted to ensure that the image loads flawlessly on all major email clients, thus you need not worry about the quality of work.

Alternatively, if you are looking for a fresh design, you can either fill out our email design questionnaire or contact us to get a personalized email template designed.

Email Uplers are there to keep you happy. We offer revisions until you are satisfied with the job. The charges starts from $15/revision (for coding) depending upon what changes you submit. For Designs the charges depend upon scope of project.

EMAIL CODING

Why should I outsource to Uplers?

An email marketing campaign can assist your business & its marketing substantially. Coding your email HTML can be tricky, though. There are various desktop email clients and webmail providers, who all have their unique set of rules.

Are there any restrictions in email designing? What are those?

Width of email design need to be 600px and should be designed with 72 dpi.

Fonts has to be used are email safe fonts, as email clients won"t render any premium/designer fonts using any technology like font embedding unlike web page.

When it comes to email, there is limited possibility of making use of CSS. Some of the following restrictions are established because of the same:

The text that is laid over the patterned background is made as an image. The editable HTML text can only be laid over solid colour backgrounds. It is not possible to do the same with patterned backgrounds.

When you place one element over the other then both the elements would be a part of one image. For example, if a button is placed over the background, both of them would be made as one image.

What is the optimal width of an email template?

600 px to 700 px is considered to be the optimal width for an email template.

Why is table based coding used in case of email templates?

Tables are used for email templates to ensure that they are compatible with multiple email clients. This includes even the smaller clients, which do not support CSS or cannot load images.

An email template that is marked up with tables will always be compatible with a larger number of email clients.

Ideally, the coding of email in email design and development service starts only after we get final approval on the design. The time-line provided is for the email design deliverable, the coding is started only after you approve the final design.

Can I reuse or distribute the email template you provide to me?

When you purchase an email template from Email Uplers, you are free to use it multiple times/customize it for you and/or your clients, however, it doesn't allow you to resell and/or distribute the purchased template(s) in anyway.

Why should I pay $59 for templates when there are other websites that sell email templates for as little as $20?

Most other websites that offer $20 email templates expect you to re-brand the template change the content and images and do other changes yourself. To do this you require access to design software such as Photoshop, knowledge of HTML, good understanding of how different email programs render your email, etc. Email Uplers however, offer the design and production service as part of the cost. Once you place an order, our creative team will do the job of re-branding your template and change content and images based on the information you provide. You can then straight out run a campaign from your email system with no HTML knowledge required. Do you offer revisions?

Can I use my personal email program (i.e. Outlook) to send out email templates designed by you to my contact list?

If you order the HTML version, you will be able to use Outlook or similar email programs to send it out to your contact list. However, we recommend integrating the template with ESPs like Campaign Monitor, MailChimp, etc. (We are in no away associated/affiliated with any of the ESPs for reselling their services).
