We all know how important it is to send a beautiful email on Christmas to delight your subscribers. Make sure you use some kind of animation, be it through CSS keyframe or GIF to improve email engagement. And since you’re damn busy around this time, we’ve bifurcated Christmas email inspirations according to different industries they come from- Ecommerce, Brands, Travel, Home Décor, and Sports. So, ready to get inspired? Great! Let’s begin the marathon.
Ecommerce Industry
Walmart Subject: You’ll want to jump on these great gifts. Walmart’s email is all about Christmas with red color dominating the email design. Since there is little time to buy gifts and get them delivered before the holidays, they have a hero image which highlights gifts that can be delivered fast.
Brands
Jeni’s
Subject line: Ice cream for a year.
They are one o Uplers’ favorites. Known for their creative GIFs, Jeni’s doesn’t fail to delight us. While they start with the headline- PRE-ORDER FOR HOLIDAY DELIVERY, which is also a CTA, this is followed by a hero image which is a quirky GIF. A holiday gift guide adds a cherry on the ice cream :).
Bath and Body works
Subject line: FINAL HOURS! the stockings are hung by the…
Red, white, and green are the colors of the season and Bath and Body Works uses them really well in their emails. With the help of a GIF as hero image, they have highlighted more products in limited space. The subject line too is in sync with the email copy.
Travel Industry
Secret Escapes
Subject line: Don’t miss the sleigh…
With a hero image creating a sense of urgency, the email by Secret Escapes is divided into different sections with a separate CTA in each. The enticing images work as a cherry on the cake.
Butlin’s
Subject line: December news: Christmas treats for all the family Butlin’s uses first name personalization- good start. While they begin with warm wishes for the festive season, they slowly change the tone of the email to highlight the various offers- good copy. The footer is perfect blend of social links and other essential details.
Home Décor Industry
Wind & Weather
Subject line: Last day of free shipping AND a discount Wind and Weather’s outdoor décor gets a festive makeover with some awesome trinkets to make the garden look beautiful during the holidays. The offer has been highlighted well in the hero image itself, followed by featured products for the season.
Crate & Barrel
Subject line: Flash Sale: 20% off boxed sets of dinnerware, flatware and drinkware. Crate & Barrel announces the opening of a 4-Day flash sale before Christmas. And to give the email a Christmas feel, white and red colors seem to dominate all over. The products on sale are well-placed in the template and what makes the copy different is that they’ve added reviews and ratings of each of the products to give the email recipient an idea of how nice these products actually are.
Sports Industry
Prep Sportswear
Subject line: Bundle to Save 15% + Last Call for Holiday Orders!
A GIF to show how you can bundle three or more items to get a special discount on Prep Sportswear products. Again, red, white and green rule the email design. They remind the subscriber to purchase on that particular day itself to ensure a Guaranteed Christmas Delivery. This is followed by links to their shops.
Adidas
Subject line: It’s that time of year, our BEST GIFTS are here Although Adidas does not prefer the typical red and white color in their email, the golden glitter brings a sheen to their festive email. The design is such that after the hero image, the subscriber’s attention will be focused on the three CTAs.
